Kate offers a range of different workshops using expressive writing, journalling, bibliotherapy and poetry. Workshops can be part of personal enjoyment and growth or continuing professional development (CPD).
Existential therapy is a way of exploring life, relationships, difficulties and other questions which beset people in the course of their lives. It focusses on the way people are in the world. Journal therapy is a process of writing and reflection to help people find their voices, develop intimacy with themselves and others. These two therapeutic approaches can be used separately or in conjunction - they are both concerned with establishing a narrative, a story, a meaning for a life. They also inform the supervision, mentoring and consultation which Kate offers to practitioners in different fields.
Kate facilitates groups using expressive writing techniques to explore different aspects of people's lives and the worlds they live in. These groups are designed to enhance understanding, insight and personal growth.
Groups for professionals use expressive writing techniques to develop reflective practice and self-supervision.
